  Melon Barn, of Greer, South Carolina, has been notoriously hosting leagues of shows every year since their genesis. In June of 2021, they held "Melon Fest", which brought together artists of all kinds to celebrate their crafts and have a blast doing it. Vendors, photographers, videographers, musicians, graphic artists, culinary practitioners; all showed with their crafts and concert-goers turned out and supported tremendously. Every show, in my opinion, is something reminiscent of classic feel-good concert/party movies and Melon Fest proved to be one of the greatest live experiences/feel-good summer classic-real life movie I have been a part of. We, at Soft Grit Recordings, were fortunate enough to take the drive from Richmond, VA to Greer and tried to document as much of the event as we could via audio recording. What we have in audio is a rip snorting and face melting conglomerate of four pivotal band sets that took place at Melon Fest. The tape features "Trash Can" by The Planks, full sets from Pumpstank and Curly Blue, and the final performance and send off of local favorites Act Normal. This tape is the absolute most primal listen you will ever experience.
